Interviewed this week and aired on Wednesday, Monica Monson talks with ‘The List’ host Brien McElhatten (@thelistbrien) about the luxury real estate market in North Scottsdale. They toured one of our premiere listings in Silverleaf and discussed the lack of inventory and longevity of the current market conditions. A fun day and some great exposure for our sellers!

In an effort to raise money for Special Olypmics, dozens of people rappelled off the 17-story One Lexington building in Downtown Phoenix this week. One of those brave souls was our very own broker of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, Deems Dickinson. For more information about Special Olympics, visit their web site at http://www.specialolympicsarizona.org/

Way to go Deems!

Scottsdale Named Best City for Families by Parenting Magazine

Parenting Magazine recently published a list of the best cities to raise a family and named Scottsdale, AZ as the 8th best city out of 103 featured.

BEST CITIES 2010: SCOTTSDALE, AZ

Scottsdale residents enjoy one of the lowest crime rates of any city we surveyed, and the city has very few registered sex offenders. But safety’s not the only feature that draws families to Scottsdale, which is just a short drive from either Phoenix or Tempe. Scottsdale scored high in recreation, with spots like the 150-acre Pinnacle Peak Park, which also offers horseback riding. Free trolleys come by every 15 to 20 minutes, carrying travelers throughout the downtown and to assorted other destinations. Read more
